This is in replys to Stephen's comments above.
As a bi man living with a bi lady I can assure you that your comments are totally incorrect and typical of many swingers. We have been in the Alt sex community for about 10 years now. The tabbo against bi men has little, perhaps nothing to do with AIDS and everything to do with narrow thinking.
We often go to sex parties and the "straight" swingers are the worst for unsafe sex. I'm not talking about sucking/licking etc but bareback peneration with many guys.
We have found most swingers are rather narrowed minded. They might love group sex or girl on girl action, but mention bondage, whips, bi guy sex, watersports, doing guys with dildos etc and 95% of swingers pull the same sort of face Christians pull when confronted with swinging.
Tristan does not want swingers to all become bi or get into watersports etc, but what she (and others) want is for swingers to stop being so narrow minded and a lot more accepting of other peoples kinks.

I love Tristan and have met and worked with her on a number of occasions... She is definitely good people and a lot of fun to be around... and she's hotter than hell, too :) I wish she would do that lecture here too... If she does, I'll be sure to try to make it :)

I enjoy my visits to this site, but one syndrome of this site and others of the same genre really irritates me. The article referenced in this item illustrates the problem.
"I'd have a great sex life if only the government/religion/society/etc. weren't so repressive," is sort of the theme. This theme gets repeated with annoying frequency.
As an old fool who has led a very successful and exciting sex life, I can say with certainty that individual courage and initative are required. People who suffer from cowardice, indecision, bad morals and a refusal to deal decently with others will not have good sex lives. Removing societal restrictions will not provide cowards and clumsy oafs with great sex.
I've lived in leftist, gay communities for longer than most of you have been alive. Sex is not working out very well in these communities. The animosity of feminism has poisoned sexual relationships. Confusion about sexual roles has simply left most people numb, unable to function and in chaos. Sex is working out much better in traditional, religious communities, and I know this because my life spans both communities. If I want to find a woman who will get down on a continual basis, I will take a religious woman over an ideological woman any day.
Ideology does not make for good sex. Getting good sex is a matter of individual courage, intitative and strength. The government cannot provide you with great sex. If you do not have the courage to simply shrug off the criticism and jealousy of other people, you will have a lousy sex life. Backbone and moral character are required.

"The girls can do other girls, but the guys cannot do other guys. If there are bi men, and there have to be, they are closeted. I want swingers to be more politically conscious and active than they are. I want them to see their commonalities with queer people, cross-dressers, and leatherfolk, all of whom can and do face discrimination when "outed" to conservative neighbors, employers, and communities."
The swinger community that does not follow these rules with soon find itself infected with AIDS. That's why the behavior the writer cites is prohibited. This prohibition is ancient and honorable. Reading such nonsense in the opening lines of her article persuaded me to stop reading the rest.
The "discrimination" this writer feels compelled to note does not exist. She doesn't have anything new to say. It's the standard boilerplate.
Since the writer is a complete conformist to the PC agenda, I tend to doubt that she tells the truth about anything. Women who are not orgasmic are not cured by an evening of sex toys and PC politics. This is utter nonsense written by an obvious self-promoter who is in a dubious relationship with the truth.
