Bacchus, this is simply Mother Nature in action. As you well know from your ecology studies in school, it is common for predators to prey on the weak, the elderly, and the infirm.
Obviously the commentor views himself as a predator and since he sees you as sick, intends to prey upon you.
It would be more effective if had not warned you and thus allowed you to get your guard up. However, since it has taken him more than a year now, he probably has moved on to other prey or been preyed upon himself.
