ironically, many of these very nice married men have chosen ice queens, women who say “nothing” when asked what’s wrong and then withhold sex for six months. i wish i was exaggerating. (ok. i’m off my rant now. thanks for listening.)

i would like to find a really nice man — someone who would want to be my best friend and partner. ideally, he would also be masculine, strong and very sexual. i think he’s out there, and i try not to be swayed by the nagging little voice in my head that reminds me that all i’ve ever had are jerks. i figure that’s what i’ve been drawn to. so it’s up to me to change that. in the meantime, my search for a really good, honest and loyal man feels like a quest for the holy grail. they’re out there… but the only ones i’ve found so far are already married.

It’s the female version of the Madonna/Whore complex. Women want to keep the whore/jerk and have the nice guy/madonna as back up. Men, the opposite, want to keep the Madonna, have whore on the side. It plagues both men and women and is set in the dichotomus structure of ideas of romance, love, sex. Its hard to find a happy medium.
But yeah, as a fiesty straight shoot’n feminist, I want a man who can throw me around and smack that feminist ass, who usually falls in the male/whore/jerk stereotype.

arrogant men exude power, self respect, and independence.. if women want puppy dogs they’ll go out and get a pet, not a boyfriend.

I understand the allure of the guy who flaunts authority, stands tall against all comers, etc. but is arrogance really that appealing? Isn’t is actually a sign of a lack of self-respect? Women who like guys who treat them like shit deserve the shit they get. You don’t have to choose an ass to get a man who is physically and intellectually challenging.

A lot of women fall for guys that treat them like crap. Nice guys finish last, it seems. I suspect a lot of women think they can “fix” or “change” guys like that too.
