Justin, I'm pretty sure it's because nerves are cut in the surgery and they heal very slowly, and sometimes never heal completely. So a decrease in sensation is pretty much guaranteed.

That has Long been a significant concern of mine. Is there any research on what causes the loss of sensation, the surgery itself, the implants, etc?

One thing that has been missed here.. and in most (if not all) discussions of breast augmentation is the fact that the nipples and areola are much less sensitive after the surgery... Who the heck wants a less responsive partner?

Holy s***! There must be something wrong with these guys. Terribly wrong. Imagine someone like them running the 100 meters... They probably loose certain parts along the way! *yuck*

Ginnie -- I agree with you. If a woman's breasts are saggy, mishapen, or otherwise deformed, then I do think that breast augmentation is worthwhile.

However, many women whose breasts are quite attractive naturally still opt for augmentation, often with results that are worse than the original. It is to this that I object. Bigger is often _not_ better.

There is something to be said for leaving perfectly nice breasts alone.

However, I must point out the pictures you post on here seem to be young women who have not gone through the rigors of life such as pregnancy, or surgeries.

My friends and I, all of us being 30 and older, have all had kids, and we all want a little "maintenance" done. My analogy is like the tires on your car, when they get flat, you pump them up.

In addition to pregnancies, I've had cysts removed. The wonderful fllu-bird colonel who performed my surgery years ago didn't care about the scars or the scar tissue he left behind in both breasts.

My point is...not all women want plastic surgery purely to enhance size. Perhaps if breasts of older women were viewed as being as erotic as those of the young, we may not feel so ashamed of what our bodies have been put through.

Just looking at boths sides of the fence.

I got curious enough to actually read his frequently asked questions... Yeesh... I have to say, there's a reason why his doctor happens to live and work in Tijuana, MEXICO - it's because the idea of doing it here would be completely and utterly thrown out of the doctors offices of even downtown L.A. The entire idea of injecting yourself with a completely foreign substance in order to physically increase size and supposedly enhance your body is really odd to me...

Thanks for soothing my eyes, though. I normally like a rounder girl, but it's very pleasant after the nastiness on his site.
