As a self-proclaimed geek (and avid harry fan), there was a reason we kept getting offered chocolate. Unfortunately, the stupid scriptwriter’s prefer to cut out a whole bunch of important things so that many parts of the movie are missing. grrr…

Chocolate is the only thing that will warm you up after encountering a Dementor.

I read the first book, and enjoyed it… A right rollicking story.

But I shy away from crowds, so I’m going to wait until it’s no longer a great phenomenon to read the other books.

I can’t believe you’ve never read the Potter books! It’s filled with sugesstive innuendo if you’re mind’s been set right in the gutter. Besides, most of the smut I’ve read always had some sort of references back to the books. Background always keeps the smut more exciting~ :hehe:

It�s a bit of a stretch to call it a scientific conclusion. The lead researcher says only that there’s an “intriguing correlation” in the study.

It doesn’t look like he was specifically testing whether chocolate enhances libido, though. A higher libido might increase chocolate cravings instead.

Further study would probably be relatively straightforward, and fun.

Indeed! Though I’d be willing to risk sacrificing the rigorously scientific aspects of the study, though, if those aspects got in the way of the fun….

yeah — your libido could just be the strength with which you crave anything, even though we only think of it in terms of craving sex.

If you’re looking for a libido-treat substitute, I’ve discovered ginger to be a powerful aphrodisiac. One time, I grabbed some pickled ginger as a part of my afternoon nibble, and a few minutes later, I was on the verge of spontaneous orgasm — I wasn’t even thinking about sex at the time.

The heart is symbolic of all the sex organs as well as orifices. The mouth, ass, scrotum, breast, vagina are all heart shaped in some form or another. A friend of mine cut out images of sex organs from porn magazines into shapes of hearts and made a lovely Valentine with them.
Harry Potter rocks. Classic Western children’s literature. Read them all.

And, regarding the special shape that Valentine chocolate comes in, Catherine Blackledge writes, in her excellent book The Story of V: Opening Pandora’s Box:

“. . .many researchers point to the western world’s ultimate emblem of love — the heart — as none other than a vaginal icon. It’s certainly the case that if you look at female genitalia when they are aroused . . . the form the visibe vagina outlines is unmistakably heart-shaped. . . . So yeah… maybe we’ve known the connection instinctively for a while, now…
