Although they were of the figure-hugging variety, I had no belt on, so he was able to get his fingers underneath them (with them still buttoned up). It sounds more difficult and precarious than it actually was; I should point out that this all took place in the matter of minutes, so the risk of arrest by British Bobbies was limited. Though I am still slightly worried about the cctv cameras that overlooked the part of the pavement we were standing on...
