California Dream Girls
Where I live, autumn is well advanced, winter is coming, snow is creeping down the mountains, and it’s increasingly grey and dreary out. So finding this sunny vintage picture postcard of nude sunbathing lovelies high above the California coast brightened my day considerably, as I hope it will brighten yours:
Of course, I have no proof that scene’s in California; I’m working from clues in the visible architecture and vegetation, but there are many other sunny possibilities.

Nice pic, but it appears that the sun has made the blonde’s nipples disappear. ;)
That’s cali all right. That’s Malibu at an area called Paradise Cove. The pier you’ll remember from the episode from Happy Days where Fonzie jumps the shark. The building behind the parked car used to be the Sandcastle, an old-style lounge where stars used to hang out before it closed in 2000. The beach below is where Rockford had his trailer and the rental beachhouse was located for American Pie II.

I think I’ve been to that beach in Cali – didn’t see any naked beauties though.
re: the magic dissapearing nipple, upon closer inspection (yes, I know, Someone has to do the thankless jobs around here) you may notice that the girl facing the camera Does have nipples, they’re just quite large and not immediately recognisable. I think the picture may have been edited at some point to remove any obviously nippley features since the girl in the forground (whose nipples you would expect to be more obvious) doesn’t obviously have a nipple on the breast closest to the camera either.
I think the photo was edited at some point to appear less ‘offensive’ or tittilating, I guess somehow it’s the nipple that makes it nakedness, since you can see pretty much the rest of the breast around the edges of a standard skimpy bikini top.
Great photo btw, just wish you could come across such scenes more often these days in real life. Or perhaps I’m just not visiting the right beaches :)

Right you are. The pier is at Paradise Cove just north of Malibu. Ironically, on the site of where this photo was taken, Matthew McConaughey has a million-dollar trailer.
