I am just starting to use the brand new wordpress 2.0 on a new site and it is great. When you make the move I highly suggest you use the spam karma 2 plug-in. It works wonders. I`m into a bit of serious torture for spammers! After resisting the `word verification` measures on my blog for a long time, I finally got fed up having to delete between 10-15 robot spam comments a day, and relented. The word verification does the trick and blocks most of them, but occasionally one still manages to get through. I don`t moderate the comments on my site in any other way than the word verification thing which stops things like price lists for peoples products, I like the idea of a variety of comments! Serious torture for spammers might not stop them, but at least we`d have some fun doing it!!!! With you on this one, Bacchus!

After resisting the `word verification` measures on my blog for a long time, I finally got fed up having to delete between 10-15 robot spam comments a day, and relented.
The word verification does the trick and blocks most of them, but occasionally one still manages to get through.
I don`t moderate the comments on my site in any other way than the word verification thing which stops things like price lists for peoples products, I like the idea of a variety of comments!
Serious torture for spammers might not stop them, but at least we`d have some fun doing it!!!!
