You know, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a hairy nipple (that wasn’t attached to a man) even on the internet. Thank you for this rather interesting first.
That’s not a hairy nipple – that’s a beautiful breast decorated with New Years streamers!!!
Hey, it isn’t necessarily a woman’s breast. And not just as in man boobage, but Gynaecomastia. Think Meatloaf in Fightclub.
In interesting picture, but the comments perplex the hell out of me. I have hairs around my aureole. I have had since I hit puberty. I’m certainly not a man!
I have more thoughts, but I put them on my blog rather than take up too much space on yours.
xx Dee
I dated a woman that was a quadriplegic and she had hairy nipples, when I asked her about it she said it was a result of all the drugs she had to take.
My mother had hairy nipples. Much hairier than that. (Probably still does) She never plucked or shaved or did anything about it… I didn’t inherit the trait… I wonder if my sisters did?
That picture makes my tweezer hand anxious!
where are my tweezers!
Lovely. My wife has a few and I like it. I’d never seen any other women who did. She liked to pluck them but I’ve finally gotten her to leave them alone!
I think the tweezer comments are illuminating. Based on what I know about normal patterns of variation in human hair growth, I don’t think the hair itself is at all remarkable. However, the women I’ve known have all been diligent (or even crazed) about yanking unwanted hairs out (wherever found) the minute they sprout.
Way back when in college, I had a sweet little girl friend with a sweet face, sweet blonde hair, sweet small breasts and hair on her nipples. It never became an issue. either for me or for her, but remained a sweet curiosity. Love says: so what?
I dated a girl in college for more than a year who had hair around her nipples. Hers were fewer in number than this picture, but each was a little thicker and longer. She was very self conscious about them and usually wore a tee shirt during sex. She said that tweezing them was too painful.
So I suppose I can blame this first on self-image paranoia?
I think the 6 women I’ve been with all had hair growing on their nipples, though most of them shaved or plucked ‘em off…
…which made me very happy. It can be awkward to suggest to a partner that she do something about body hair, but my 2 cents is that if you have hair growing there, check in with your partner as to whether it’s a turn off or not.
I have no doubt that woman have similar peeves of which men should be equally courteous.
I’ve seen more women with this than not and only found it a mildly curious thing — definitely not offensive. BTW it’s not on her nipple but rather the aereola ;)
Rabbit
I definitely get the tweezer itch… might be my trichotillomania, but I would loooove to have to pluck them!
I once had a girl friend with hairier nipples than this. To tell the truth,it was a bit offputting.
I think it’s becoming clear that the reality is not rare; what’s rare is models / photographers / publishers who are willing to break with social conventions demanding that they display to the world only the socially-expected Platonic ideal of the hairless female nipple.
I hesitate to weigh in on this one, because I’d have to go way out on a limb that (due to political correctness) someone’s liable to saw off while I’m on the wrong side of the cut… However, I think most women would like to know that GENERALLY speaking (There are always exceptions, variety being the spice of life…) the majority of men are most likely to find them attractive when they exagerate the qualities that make them naturally differ from the male. Granted, some men may find the female bigfoot, with her fully hairy breasts, wildly sexually stimulating, most guys will (consciously or not) go for the characteristics of newly sexually maturing female. In this case, that would be hairless breasts or breasts with fine and/or lightly colored “fuzz”. It’s science… evolution pure and simple, though pornographers and artists may intuitively or anecdotally chose to portray the hairless breast. Men (Again I’m speaking in generalities…) are wired to desire young women who are not likely to already have children by another male, and therefore are attracted to younger LOOKING women by and large. This is rarely a purely conscious choice. If you have prominent breast hair ladies, I’m therefore betting most men will be off-put by it, and will prefer that you pluck it (…in secret. It’s most effective if men believe it’s your natural state, just as heavy makeup can also be off-putting) Sorry, please don’t kill the messenger…
I don’t know about that “men are hardwired to…” stuff. It’s a pretty general rule that men will find young, beautiful, feminine women attractive; but the ideas of beauty and femininity are not set. In some cultures, I have no doubt that female body hair is considered wildly attractive.
Perhaps my issue with “wired to” statements is that they generally are only used as hard-and-fast rules for men, and are excuses for pretty terrible behaviors, like rape, infidelity where otherwise is expected, homophobia, blatant sexism, etc.
As for the picture, it’s a lovely picture of a lovely breast that happens to have hair on it. I like nipple hairs (to an extent) on men, why not on women?
As the owner of one hairy nipple, I applaud you for showing one off in your blog. Oddly, blokes tend to notice the five hairs on the one which is present reather than the smudge of scar tissue which lives where the other one used to be.
Three cheers for nipples!
that’s beautiful, I like hairy women
I knew a woman with a decent amount of hair around each nipple,,, she was more worried about it than I was, they were fun to suck on and lick and I think she felt she had to “make up for it” in other ways and she was great with what she did.
I have sucked on a hairy nipple like this and wish I could find another. At first it wierded me out. Now I get hard thinking about it.
