Sorry dude, Japanese baths are segregated by gender now! :)
While it’s true that bath houses are divided by gender you can still find hot springs which have mixed gender bathing. It’s something of a sales point for people who run inns, guys generally love it.

Vintage, yes, but not “ancient” at all-in fact, it’s from the 1850s, if it’s from Perry’s opening of Japan…
