Bacchus I agree with your logic totally. A penchant for groping women consentually doesn’t necessarily mean that one will grope all women regardless, that’s why I inserted the word “seem”… Differing for instance from what a statement such as merely “makes them believable” would have stated. When “Gropegate” first surfaced, I wondered if it was all even true in the least. He seemed like such a nice guy in his comedy movies. Then he admitted to incidences of occasional inappropriate behavior, with some of these women in his past. Photos like this one, make those incidences easier for me to picture. The ones that he admitted to that is. I didn’t mean that it was in any way proof of general misconduct or even proof of the entirety of the accusations. It just makes it easier for me to picture him being a lusty fellow after such movies as “Kindergarten Cop”.

I agree with your reply bacchus…. There is no corrolation between the two…..

On a seperate note…..

If Bill Clinton had approached his ‘flings’ with such enjoyment from the very begining in just this way, its perhaps possible that the right-wing wouldn’t have bothered with Monica…. of course, Hillary would have dumped him long since?

Personally, it does my heart good to see more proof that someone in politics is real enough to have a past that included laughing and what looks like a hell of a good time.

But I see it different. She’s smiling, isn’t she? Does this look like an unconsented touching to you?

If not, than your logic is equivalent to “here’s a pic of a guy having sex, it sure makes those old rape charges sound more believable…”

Not trying to be harsh, but I’m very uncomfortable with your equation. Public comfort with nudity and sexuality does not automatically equal sexual misconduct, as much as the censors and prudes would have us think different.

Mind you, I’m not saying he’s innocent of those charges. I’m just saying this isn’t relevant evidence.

These types of photos do make all those old accusations of sexual harassment and groping women in elevators seem quite a bit more believable…
