Hello, I am French and confirm you that it is indeed about a former(ancient) device intended for the anal rectal injections! The shape and the materials evolved but the pricipe remains the same!
Saddened for the amateurs of water pipe(narguilé); but the scents (and openings!) the same will not be !!!
Cordially

Note to Rikibeth:
From the color, I'd say it's possible that it's wooly mammoth ivory. Due to global warming, a surprising amount of preserved ivory is sufacing on the ice of the frozen tundra in places like Siberia. Being as no elephants are harmed in collecting it, there is no law banning it's trafficking.

But then, being as ivory is somewhat porous and grainy like wood, it could be merely elephant ivory that has become... um... 'stained'... in the open grain...

I'm glad to see I'm not the first one to make the hookah association with this device. I don't much care for the rubber hose but otherwise it's quite aesthetically pleasing.

The stuff on the source site is steampunkilicious!

If that nozzle's really ivory, wouldn't there be a problem getting it past Customs if a U.S. resident bought it? Or is there an exception for antiques?

This ivory insertion device reminds me of the shape/size of the The Shur Shot Enema Set by JT Stockroom, clearly designed for a post-water pressure world. Some things don't need to evolve, but I am curious how ivory would feel in there.

Actually, it looks like a hookah to me. I guess the end results might be the same...depending on your kink...or that might be a stretch.

LOL, no, I usually don't bother with Google translate unless I have a smattering of the language so I can reality-check the results.
