When viewing an enlargement of the original, you can plainly read the label on the bottle as being "witch hazel". I don't know if it was the artist's intent, but I smirked a bit at the possible double entendre. In antiquity, witch hazel was perhaps most commonly used in an effort to tighten or rejuvenate the anal or vaginal orifices after something large passing through it had over-stretched it (thereby compromising its muscle tone), such as presumably childbirth or hemorrhoids due to chronic constipation...

This makes your "...pretty young.../... withered hag..." comment dichotomy even more salient, n'est-ce pas?

Based on doing a search for "Haunting License" through Google, it pointed me to eBay and someone who is trying to sell a print of this. According to the eBay listing, the artist is Ron Wicks

My wife made sense of it. Pity. "Haveling" sounded like such a promising word.

Awfully quiet on your website lately...

I love this picture. I find this sort of drawing more erotic and sexy than anything blatantly sexual or pornographic.

But anyway... what's with the license? Does it say: Haveling License? I've been scouring the net trying to root out what "Haveling" could refer to.

Ack!

I was moderating about 150 comments and I was *sure* there was one here giving the source of this image. Since I don't see it now, I must have accidentally deleted it. Sorry, helpful commenter!
