Part of me thinks that the stigma accompanying so-called “weird sex” is that you aren’t supposed to talk about it. Having those desires may be okay, but divulging them to anybody except the person you’re about to have that weird sex with? It sets people on edge, because you’re not adhering to the acceptable social standards- you’re a wild card. We have these silent rules about sex- unless it is so in the public sphere as to be able to be detached from the personal and exist as a general idea, then by talking about it, you’re breaching rules about how much of the personal you reveal to someone with whom you aren’t intimate.

Or maybe not. It’s just a theory of mine.

Also, that inflation picture is great. I can’t say that I “get it” the way inflation fetishists do, but it’s so joyful and cute that I can’t help but feel happy looking at it.
