Alas, the women I have told this to remain thoroughly unconvinced of the validity of this method, despite scientific evidence of its efficacy. I can state, however, that a swift and direct application of the knee to the male sexual organs is an effective method of birth control . . .

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, this would be exactly the thing to do. The male semen is "Jing," which is the foundational essence of the body, which is also what babies are made of.
Men lose Jing through ejaculation, whereas women lose it through menstruation. Presumable women lose it through ejaculation as well, but the Chinese don't get too chatty about that sort of thing. Especially in class.
But yeah. That's very much indicated from a TCM standpoint. Also, walnuts, black beans, black rice, black sesame, black chicken, royal jelly, red grapes, sprouts, eggs, stuff like that.
In China, women are given black chicken soup after they give birth, to tonify their foundational essence after losing so much of it through the birth of the baby.

her skin healthy and takes care of wrinkles.

I googled "immune maladaptation theory of preeclampsia" because the bottom half of the MomBlog article seems to be debunking the top half. The most common word string in the results is: "These data do not support the immune maladaptation theory of preeclampsia. "

So, this appears to be "Cold Fusion" for the moment.

But! The theory is reasonable and doesn't have to apply only to Preeclampsia. I for one think a much larger study ought to be done. Also, as our Mommyblog says: "I will fall back on the medical opinion I always have about things that are either Suzanne Somers-y, or reek of placebo-ness, but are obviously benign: It can't hurt, right?"
