Yowzah, that brought back memories. I stumbled across my Grandfather’s copy in the UK at the tender age of about 12 and it blew my mind.

I think I still have it stored in a shed somewhere. I must check that out. Thanks for the reminder!

Phoebe Zeitgeist – now there’s a name I haven’t heard in ages and my first thought was “I used to have that comic!” I don’t have it now, more’s the pity. It must’ve disappeared about the same time as my ‘Cherry Poptart’ and ‘Omaha the Cat Dancer’ mags. The search through the remains of my once-mighty comic collection did turn up a few curios I’d forgotten about, like ‘Tits & Clits’ issue 3.

I guess I’m one of the lucky few who owns a copy of this treasured tome. BWAHAHAHAHA! BTW, who would play Pheobe in the movie? Any suggestions? I nominate Rose McGowan.

I first learned about Phoebe from reading a bio about Mike O’Donoghue, after becoming interested in him from old issues of Lampoon. I found some .pdfs online of the comics – brilliant stuff. Thanks for this post!

I was in college back in the day when Phoebe made her appearances and I loved the series. For a long time I had copies of them, but a leaky roof destroyed a large magazine & comic book collection. I hope they appear on the Internet someday. Would love to see all of them again.
