There's a phone sex company with a reputation like that (TalkSugar). Over and over I hear stories from providers saying that everything is great for years and years until suddenly they just stop paying your ass. Every so often I'm tempted to see for myself, but it just doesn't seem like a smart call.

Your turn will come. The pattern seems to be, they treat everybody well... until they stop.

I don't try to impose my ethics on others, but speaking for myself, I do consider it a very bad idea to do business with people who have a proven track record of not paying what they owe. The whole "They never screwed me, so I don't care who else they screwed" attitude has never made sense to me.

I've been in a professional relationship with EF since Oct 2009 and I have yet to encounter #3 Danger zone.

EF has been very patient, fair and good to me. They support my work and sponsor my organization Sex Positive St Louis. They helped me pay my bills last year, and have always paid me promptly. SEX+STL Co-Founder Johnny Murdoc has had the same positive experience with EF.

Last spring, maymay announced that he would not trust or respect anyone who continued to do business with EF. The peer pressure heat from him and other sex bloggers had me ponder severing my relationship with them, but a year later I can look back at it and feel satisfied that I made the right choice. I got overwhelmingly negative energy from the sex blogger clique and would rather focus on the positive.

My opinion of The Beautiful Kind just tanked. Too bad; I had thought highly of her work.

Thanks for sharing this - it is more than disappointing when slimy people use my medium - technology - to rip other people off.

Yeah, everybody gets treated good...until they don't. You're in stages 1-2 somewhere.

I care more about how other people are treated than how a website is programmed. I write for EF and have been getting what I deserve - paid in a timely manner and prompt, professional, courteous attention from several folks on staff. It's unfortunate watching the sex pos/blog community become polarized by this issue. Blanket judgments, peer pressure, disrespect - not my thing.

I only knew about the problems EdenFantasy had thanks to Epiphora's own blog post about her being shut out without any explanation. From there, I followed her other links to the blogs to try and piece together the sites ultimate problem. Thank god I did not sign up for EF when a friend informed me I could get paid for reviewing it. I rather review things on my own than have my reputation tarnished by associated with a company that has no remorse for its people and tries to pull a round around.
