This unfortunate young lady has obviously suffered from a bout of lightheadedness, and I think this limerick will explain how it came about:
A maiden who lived down the street,
had a hard leather bicycle seat.
As it pressed on her taint,
she’d feel fevered and faint,
and her face would turn red as a beet!
