That Satyr Stole Her Undies!
Honestly, it’s no shame for a young woman of passion and romantic imagination to be seduced by a satyr she chances to meet in the woods. Seduction, after all, is a satyr’s core competence. It’s literally what they do. However, it’s perhaps a little bit humiliating when he runs off with your underthings (is that a chemise?) as a stolen trophy. That’s just rude!
The full artwork (the above is a detail) is titled Le Trophée; it originally appeared in a risque French magazine called Paris Plaisirs. Artist credit is given as “Ch. de Lugo”. There’s a caption “Mas, que dira moman?” — loosely, “What will my mother say?”

The girls face says it all. I love coming to this part of the forest, the sex with mythical creatures is fantastic. But why do they steal my clothes? She doesn’t look at all distressed, just mildly perplexed.
I can’t find anything about the artist apart from one other picture from the same publication.

But he is from my hood. Lugo in Galicia. Paris Plaisirs is obviously French, as is the title of this picture, but the caption is in Galician. Lugo is an ancient provincial town in farming country. Not much has happened there since the Romans invaded 2000 years ago. They are still reeling from the shock.

Although where she’d keep them I have no idea. Perhaps a valise stashed behind the tree?
Reminds me of the “panty raids” of the sixties where male students would storm the college dormitories of female students, and escape with their panties in tow, as evidentiary trophies of the excursion. Some women were appalled and incensed, whereas others were willing participants considering the exercise to be a welcome relief of the stress of study pressures.
Some girls would safely and encouragingly toss their undies from upper story windows as the raids first got underway, and wiggle enticingly.
This was a predecessor to tossing panties onstage to singers like Tom Jones, and the campus streaking parties participated in by both sexes…
