This image was taken and/or published just a couple of short years into the “Pubic Wars” ( http://en.wikip..._Wars ), therefore, you really don’t see too much in that mirror in the photo. Besides, most women (models included), really didn’t trim their bush enough to see any fleshy parts back then.
Due to the times, the use of the mirror here is a bit of a buffer to the explicitness of depicted genitalia.
