Ann: I’m pretty sure that’s the octoupus’s head, and it’s worked its way up under her bathing suit. You can see the tentacles curling around under the material, too.

Ann, she’s drawn with that set of curves, but I think that’s the body of the octopus nestled against her tummy under her bathing suit.

It might be that the octopus head and the way the woman cradles it is a beautiful visual metaphor for the way it feels to be pregnant.
