Apparently wife spanking is like many another tricky enterprise: it’s best to start off as you mean to continue:

Some six years ago I married my second wife…..we were in our fifties….and I waited until our wedding night before putting her over my knee, pulling her knickers down and smacking her mature 38″ bare bottom.
