Lady Gaga Costume “Fail”
I’m not a huge Lady Gaga fan, but I do admire her courage. There are some who say it’s easy to be brave when you’re hella rich, but I’m not so sure — when you’re a memetic engineer working on memes about sex and freedom and what it means to be female in the 21st century, the waves of judgment and hatred and condemnation cannot be easy to surf, even when you’ve got a platoon of bodyguards and handlers and random sycophants to help catch and deflect the worst of it while reassuring you that you’re still perfectly fabulous.
None of which prevents Lady Gaga from running right out along the edge of the knife, and then dancing on the tip — and she does it as a matter of routine:
Apparently the official outfit included, variously, some opaque pasties or the basque/corset thing she’s seen falling out of here. But one should generally assume that celebrity “accidents” of this sort are as carefully engineered as every other public moment.

As for the peekaboo business, isn’t there a whole genre of voyeur photography that focuses on the weir way flash photography makes otherwise opaque-looking knit fabric “see through?” My guess is that Gaga was indeed skating the line but didn’t account for the flash effect.
I don’t mean to belittle the possibility that she was exploiting that routine costume fail. At all! Because as you say she’s pretty savvy. But I think it’s at least as likely she’s just in the same boat celebrities from Anne Hathaway to Julie Roberts to Meryl Streep have ended up in at one time or another.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the wig (Okay, so I’m pretty nostalgic on the 90s, the teal hair somehow reminded me of those days).
I’ve never been the fan of her music or general attitude to people, but in this one she does indeed look very good. *nods*

So now I know to classify Lady Gaga as medium high mount, medium footprint.
“Footprint” is a term I made up to describe how breast ligaments are positioned on the chest. Someday I will start my own illustrated blog to analyze footprint.
BTW, Madonna is large footprint based on what I’ve seen from Friedlander’s pix and her SEX book. She will never sag that much, though her recent weight loss and menopause might give her a pit of a deflated look. But if she’s in an ANR relationship she’ll be as perky as ever.
BTW, I am also quite the fan of the small-footprint breasts that have minds of their own, especially when they are medium to large and have been through many stages of a woman’s life including pregnancies,lactation, weight gain and loss, and menopause. All that can result in some very hot free willed breasts.
