An interesting look back in time, maybe. I’ve seen contemporary postcards in Hawaii showing topless wahinis against the sands, available in every souvenier stand in Waikiki. You don’t see so many “Nude Caucasians” postcards in the stands in Florida, tho. Does the air of the exotic make it different?
then again, I’ve not seen so many blue-eyed arabian girls. Maybe some of these could be from an outlet where Victorian English girls could get ‘naughty’ pictures taken of themselves, maybe make a bit of money and know they’d not be recognized in the exotic garb? (Hey I work at a Renaissance Festival and have run into Fest friends at local stores and we’ve not recognized each other in the ‘strange clothes.”
For what it’s worth, color postcards in the era this one was published were based on black and white photographs that were subsequently hand-tinted by an artist. Accordingly, the blue eyes here are most likely just an artistic fancy of the tinter.

The blue eyes are very likely hand-tinting, although in past times, harems did indeed have occurrences of blue-eyed girls because of white girls added to the harems.
There was a documentary series in the UK some time ago about the mixed nationalities, and their influence, within the harem society.
