Nymphs! Frolicking! Nude!
In my Bacchus persona as well as in real life, it’s fair to say I don’t know much about art. But I know what I like:
And if it isn’t pretty girls frolicking naked in the sunshine, I don’t know what it might be. Art, I tell you, art! And the artist is one Charles Joseph Frederic Soulacroix. Here’s a slightly larger version.

there is a beautiful girlish innocence there. It is really really lovely.
I looked at some other works by this fellow. In some ways the almost photographic quality reminds me of magazine illustrations, but with amazing detail. And look at what he does with the silks and fabrics! He obviously loved to paint women.

Oh, it’s so bloody cold in my part of the country right now that these naked nymphs make my heart swell with the desire to be warm, and outdoors, and as naked as is permitted under local law!
Is it just me, or do these nympyhs also fall into another category…shaved?

Actually, including pubic hair in paintings of nudes was considered somewhere between risqué and obscene in 19th century Europe so most nudes were painted without it.
Bacchus, does your Nymph frolick nude with abandon too?
