Embarrassing Chat Flail
Back in my Everquest days we called this a “mis-tell” — the chat command was /tell and it was very easy to /tell the wrong thing to the wrong channel. The potential for humiliation was enormous:

I do that almost every day (*wrong window!*), but only sometimes as badly as the above.
Somehow, someone needs to let Nathan know that yes. We can tell.

my partner is an evercrack addict, and when he’s conversing with many people, he will have me watch his screen sometimes to make sure he doesn’t MT some sensitive things.
and i find myself wondering what the answer was! (i’d probably say no… or “only if you’re funny-shaped!”)
Incidents like this were why I learned to keep only a few windows open at a time. Chatting with parents while cybering in a bondage room is a bad bad idea…
I once sent a complaint about my boss…to my boss. Never, ever chat with your boss about work in one window and anyone else about anything in another.
