O Sexy Canada!
Canada sure is hot for a place so far north. Sexy stars such as Keifer Sutherland and Jennifer Tilly hail from the Great White North, and according to a map I recently found online, it’s brimming with erotic-named places. Here’s a sample:
Bacchus must be really happy that Nymph Point is so close to Mate Islands and Easy Inlet.
Yes, gentle reader, your eyes do not deceive you: there are more, many more such names across the country! Geist magazine created the original map in PDF, and Bacchus created a JPG version.
All that remains is to change the old SCTV insult to “Take off, you fucker!” What a road trip, eh?

Cool – and fitting that I live close to Nymph Point ;). Curious, however… that somehow, without our knowledge, Vancouver Island became attached to the Mainland…
That is just so fantastic! They totally attached Vancouver Island to the mainland, however, which is sorta weird.

Maybe I should have mentioned that Geist is a humor magazine…….just as they took liberties with Vancouver Island, I think some of those names aren’t real. At least Google Maps couldn’t find some.

I love ridiculous place names, and honestly I think if you use Google maps anywhere in North America, you’d find thousands and thousands of them. The above probably only have a few hundred people in them.
There is always Dildo, Conception Bay and Come-By-Chance.
These are all real place names in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
First, Greg – *thank you* so much for your hug and well-wishes; it`s been a journey for sure. I`ve started to rock the `hawk and am beginning to enjoy it.
Second, Aphrodite, I do think they all exist – Google Maps doesn`t have every nook and cranny put up yet. To see where everything *really* is (for example, Nymph Point isn`t really on the Southern Tip of Vancouver Island, but for design`s sake, it needed to be put there, I guess), people can submit a query to this site:
