I think I would take a cab instead…
As a kid I never questioned the arcs that Wally Wood or Jack Kirby would imply that Daredevil would make from a standing leap. As an adult to see Ben Affleck, supposedly with normal human strength, do those stunts made the Daredevil movie difficult to believe, even though it was supposed to be a fantasy. I’m not the target audience for this image so forgive me for getting stuck on not being able to suspend my disbelief. The pony girl is hopping on her knees (thighs bound) so why the implication that she is achieving some locomotion with her fingers? The rendering is good and Stanton is/was more of a professional artist than I am but this boggles me, and not in a good way.
(I can’t claim any consistency, I rather like Art Frahms celery pin ups and those are equally dreamy and mystifying, so…)
I didn’t get the hopping along with her knees bit, so I was wondering how she was supposed to balance like that on just here fingers…
Either way, I certainly wouldn’t pass that up for a cab!
