It’s been more than thirty years since I’ve been to a big proper Renaissance faire and from dozens of videos like this one that I’ve been seeing recently on social media, it’s clear to me that things have changed a very great deal indeed. I am hardly qualified to catalog all the changes, but one phenomenon that has evolved considerably beyond the beer-slinging wenches I remember are the refreshment booths where, along with your stick-sausage or your barrel-pickle or your beverage, you can be served up a few moments of risque flirtation, verbal domination, or over-the-top praise to feed your praise kink:
