So as the old shaggy dog story goes, this construction worker got married. He wasn’t a sophisticated guy, not real smart or well-educated, but everybody liked him, and he was a super hard worker. His friends all danced at his wedding, the bride couldn’t keep her hands off him at the reception, and after the short honeymoon, he came to work grinning ear-to-ear, every day for months on end.

Eventually his friends had to ask him:

“Buddy, are you having sex every night, then?”

“Every night, always, yup!”

“Have you tried it up the other hole yet?”

“Oh, friends, my wife’s a sweet and loving woman, she throws herself at me every night, she’s never denied me anything. But I don’t know how she’d feel about that, though…”

Still, his buddies egged him on a little bit.

“Man, you should try, anyway. You’ve been married more than half a year, now! There’s nothing dirty between a man and his wife. Ask her if you can at least try the other hole. Worst that can happen is that she says no. She loves you, she won’t mind that you asked.”

Finally he agreed. “Right, OK, I will. I’ll ask her tonight.”

Next morning when he came in, his friends all crowded around.

“Did you ask her to try the other hole?”

He said “Well, I did ask her, truly I did! And she was truly sad to deny me. But she said we can’t afford to have children just yet…”
