Er… If given a choice, I would normally opt for the flogging, but noticing the length of the handle in this particular instance, it could be rather severely painful. Maybe the electric prod… Definitely no thank you to the spiked dildo, and a truly high pressure enema could be deadly. I’m guessing the story didn’t include a choice on his part though… Maybe I should check the linky…

On a related note, somebody needs to do a PHD dissertation on the prevalence and significance of the spiked dildo in BDSM and torture cartoonery and fiction. It’s supremely impractical, too likely (depending on the gonzo-level of the imagined spikes) to be swiftly fatal even to make a practical torture device, and (as far as I know) without much in the way of historical precedent. And yet it pops up all the freakin’ time. I’d say “because misogyny” except it’s just as likely to be deployed (conceptually) against men, even in a publication as fundamentally misogynist as 1970s Hustler. Seriously, WTF?
