I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Patrick and Theresa’s blog is not loading normally, Charlie’s site was hacked, but he recovered, and a lot of the erotic sites your linked to seem to have been hacked and not yet recovered also.
V, thanks. It’s perhaps helpful to understand that some of my links are almost twenty years old. My standard for “broken and gone forever, time to remove it” is extremely generous — years-long sometimes. But even by that standard, my list of links is badly out of date and needs cleaning up. It’s a bit like being a hoarder, though: every decision to remove/dispose generates anxiety, and who needs more of that? So the work goes slowly at the best of times, and not-at-all most of the time. Mostly I am just trying to stay in denial about the terminal decay of the open web.
