This image comes to me without any provenance, but judging by the hair, it might be the 1970s or early 1980s. My guess is that it’s an illicit snapshot with a little point-n-shoot camera, like a cheap Kodak 110, or possibly a Polaroid instant camera.

Given the theater seating, very tall stage, and fully-nude performer; I suspect that this might be a live sex show rather than a strip club.

Times Square had multiple live sex shows in theater seating on West 42nd Street area, $6 for entry in 1978-1979. This looks very much like the places I’ve seen. Porn movies would play for like 45 minutes, then would stop and the couple would come out and have sex.
