Housemaid: Nearly Naked And Surly About It
I don’t know the story here, but my mind rapidly infills a blackmail scenario. She’s not a housemaid by profession, but this humiliating scene has been imposed upon her by these leering toffs. I wonder what their leverage over her might be?

That is a really great find!
The artist used the constraints of the medium (i.e. what can be shown on a book cover) to their advantage, focusing the viewer towards the psychological aspects of the whole scene.
If I translate the title “Darling – poupée du vice” correctly as “Darling – puppet of vice”, she might have gotten herself into this mess by thinking with the wrong parts of her body, though. Personal preferences not aside, I’d much like to imagine some scenario where she was tricked into this scene, rather than blackmail ;-)
