Time For Some Beauty
Ok, enough grotesqueries for one weekend. Time for some beauty:

and by slug bug, you mean punch buggy, right? anybody with me? also, lovely pic.
No! It is Slug Bug! Your degenerate “punch buggy” nomenclature fails the all-important rhyming test.
I’m charmed by the way the black-and-white pinup girls are always wearing such formal jewelry. Maybe jewelry standards have just changed, and it was cheap and whorish at the time, but it looks just like she could go to her mother’s tea party on Sunday without changing hair or pearls.
You gotta love the bathing beauty pose on the legs too…. CUTE!
Who the heck says punch buggy?
I’ve said “Punch Buggy” from childhood on. I grew up in Florida and have since relocated to Virginia. It’s called “Punch Buggy” up here, too. My wife and I even invented a “game” called “PT Punch,” when the PT Cruiser first came out. Now they’re too common.
we use both, but we say the color too. also, with “punch buggy” we use “no punch back” instead of “no returns”; it just fits the rhythm better.
let me elucidate:
if i were to see a blue bug, i could either say, “slug bug blue no returns” or, “punch buggy blue no punch back”
that’s a fairly understandable explanation, yes?
Hey!! I grew up with “punch buggy yellow, no returns!” and if we said it at the same time, then someone tried to get in “Jinx! you owe me a Coke!” ;-)
And yes- *love* how “pretty” the older photos are. Tea and strumpets anyone? ;-)
“no returns”? that’s not it.
It’s “Punch buggy yellow no punch-backs!”
anony has it..punch buggy yellow with no punch backs!..umm whats a strumpet?..do you mean crumpets
No one notice she’s shaved? I don’t think I have seen an old pic with a woman that was. Makes it unique for me :)
it’s “punch buggy black, no returns!” get it straight, peoples! :)
There’s a gorgeous naked girl up there, shaved, to boot, when shaving was riske, and all you people can talk about is “slug bug” v. “punch buggy”?
What has this world come to?
In the SouthWest, namely Arizona, it was “slug bug” with a color, which merely served to keep the other person from punching you on the basis of the same car. Therefore “no punchbacks” was unnecessary.Things sure did change once Volkswagen stopped makin’ ’em.
Could someone explain to me what the bahjeebus y’all are talking about?
Psh, “slug bug” no freakin colors and you punch em. “PT cruiser bruiser” too guys. Keep up with the rhyming scheme, sheesh.
You people been attending way too many auto shows!
Geesh, who really cares about the background?
She is gorgeous and probably now older than me with tits to her belly button! LOL
I still stand by my “no returns” :-p
And, apple, a “strumpet” is another way of saying “loose woman” so yes I was playing on the word “crumpet”
Wow! A flawless ’57 oval window! THAT is sexy as hell! (Too bad to think that the woman in the photo is probably dead by now. She looks to be in her late 20’s, early 30’s. Add 60 years… but the car is probably still on the road!)
I’m with you Belle! Flawless Figure… er… More fling-backs!
