Unique Advertising; But Is It Accurate?
It amazes me how people can put slogans on pictures and end up with the weirdest combinations. But they post them on the web and think it’s all good! I got a big laugh when I saw this picture, which I cropped before posting here:
I wonder what items she keeps in there….

Okay, just a wee thing but it drives me nuts! Items is just plural there. No need for an apostrophe. You’d think people taking out an ad would bother to check it for grammatical mistakes.
Goddess, I’m grammar geek!
Money box perhaps?
Where’s the rest of the pic to be seen?
The Commonwealth Games are going on in Melbourne (Australia). In the women’s weights lifting one woman got the weight to chest level before lifting them over her head. The TV commentator, a little excited, practically yelled, “Now there’s a massive snatch!”
The apostrophe thing leapt out at me too.
Freya, I doubt that the writer even knew it was a mistake.
Grammar geek here too.
Yeah, I think to myself: “Yeah, go ahead. Your place for one of a kind item’s what?”
Leroy, that is TOO funny! Thanks for sharing! Apostrophe haters, count me as one of the club. This girl is pretty young so she’s probably clueless. Doc, I don’t remember where I snagged it, either a blog or online store….
