The Slut Lie
I’ve mentioned before the odd pathology of pornographers using ugly language to describe and market the porn talent, and cited with approval pornographers who speak out against the practice. Here’s another citation: Sam Sugar, in an article cataloging the big lies told by pornographers, says:
3. Sluts. Despite what it says on the box, if you call a woman — even a porn performer — a nasty cum-drinking bitch when you’re not having sex with her, she’s probably going to knee you in the nuts. The tubby mommies-boys and misogynists who market porn want you to think that the way they view women is how women in porn see themselves. Try calling a performer a “dirty cock-socket” at a trade-show if you think it is, in fact, true. Watch your head.

Yes this is pretty true. I mean my lover can call me slut while not having sex but only in a sexual context.

yep, it has always bemused me why they persist on throwing every ‘dirty’ term they can think of in one sentence … I wonder what school of advertising insists that convoluted smutty long descriptions sell stuff, and of course completely nonsensical and incorrect ones to boot.
Who also are these people subscribing who think, “oh great, cum-filled-whore-sluts-get-jammed giant-cock-splat-goo-wet in hardcore action, just what I’ve been looking for!”.
Then there is the reverse psychology with “girl next door innocent nice girls sweet and lovely” who (underlying descripto) are really deep inside actually “cum-filled-whore-sluts-get-jammed giant-cock-splat-goo-wet in hardcore action”.
Hmmmmmm, something to think about, good observation Bacchus.

I call myself a slut all the time, however I don’t always like other people to use it… it has a different connotation to other people. To me, the word SLUT is shorthand for… “person who is perpetually horny, is sex-positive, and is exploring his or her sexual boundaries in a safe and orgasm-inducing way.” To other people it definitely means something else.
But “COCK SOCKET?” Seriously? I mean, my husband frequently refers to me as his cumbucket, but cock socket just sounds like some wierd thing you’d find in a tool box. “Honey, could you pass the cock socket wrench?”
yes, but…
What about when you *are* having sex? My partner loves me to call her all sorts of vile names in bed, although I must admit I am rather self-concious about such things. You have to be able to say it with feeling. I can’t imagine calling my missus a “cock socket”.
She isn’t thinking of “slut” as sex-positive, politically correct either. She means OBJECT. I don’t think she is unique…
