Now that’s just hot. Anytime I see anything from the Kama Sutra I know I’m probably going to get turned on. True to form. Here I sit with this picture and all turned on; the wife’s at work and all I can do is blame my sense of timing. Oh well, thanks for sharing!

She’s got that come hither stare!
I’ve always been curious about how India can have such a rich heritage of sexual art, but have such puritanical standards in their cinema? Couples in “Bollywood” films are not even allowed to kiss. Is it a legacy of British rule, or catering to a standard that will offend the fewest audience members?
Any ideas?
Bollywood films make most of their money touring the medium sized villages, where movies are shown to audiences divided by a stone wall, women on one side, men on the other. The people who live in the villages are on the whole more conservative than city dwellers.
“…….where movies are shown to audiences divided by a stone wall, women on one side, men on the other.â€? I have never seen that happen growing up in India.
Movies in Bollywood are allowed to show kissing. But songs and dances are more proftable as there is a huge secondary music market. Puritanicle attitudes are a legacy of the Victorian rule. However, in this age of internet etc. the boundaries are crumbling, especially in the younger generations.
sales of Karma Sutra books are quite strong in many Indian cities
The amazing thing is the Indian concept of God (three aspects – creator, preserver and destroyer). And Shiva represents the aspect of “necessary destruction” which is entwined with “regeneration/reproduction”. Subsequently the symbol of Shiva is a “lingam” (a penis) situated atop (or inside) a “yoni” (a vagina), whih is simple and yet profound!!! The bulk of city-people (who have forgotten the Vedic roots and philosophy and blindly worship without understanding what theyre doing) have no clue what it is they are worshipping.
Puritanical attitude is legacy of Muslim rule in India not the victorian.
