Yaoi Divers
This reminds me thematically of the ama topless Japanese pearl divers that Faustus and I have blogged about. But I’m guessing it has more to do with yaoi in its origins, especially considering that I found it in that venerable and catholic trove of Japanese erotic illustration, alt. binaries. pictures. erotica. anime:

I could swear these guys are brothers at least if not twins. I smell incest!!
Mmmm. I like this quite a bit, despite the possible incest connotations.
Very hot, although it strikes me as something produced for gay men (gei comi) rather than yaoi (or shonen-ai, or boys’ love… the correct terms in English aren’t clear). The formula for yaoi is very traditionally gender structured. One man plays the “male” role. He’s drawn taller, more muscular, and is always the pitcher in sex. The other man is usually smaller, has long hair, and always bottoms.
The formula of yaoi is tied to Japanese culture and sexual attitudes. On the surface it’s similar to western slash fiction, since they’re both forms of romance and erotica created by and for women about men in romantic and sexual relationships. Yaoi gives Japanese women an erotic outlet for traditional heterosexual fantasies in a culture where sexual desire is considered inappropriate for women, and a place for women to escape representations of their own gender that are uncomfortable. The relationships in slash fiction rarely have such clearly defined gender roles. Many women into slash are attracted to the mystique of male friendships just as much as the allure of a romance with no stereotypes about women. We enjoy the flexibility of identity of the men, rather than making one of them into an androgyne or male-bodied woman.
