Man In Pretty Robe
The splendid image of Yaoi divers recently posted by Bacchus got me thinking along thematically-related lines. While I realize that Yaoi is meant to be male homoerotic materials intended for viewing by women, it’s a natural leap to homoerotic Japanese material intended — as far as I can tell, anyway — for men.
Which means, of course, that I have the opportunity to post this image by the artist Gengoroh Tagame, who has quite a line going in that sort of thing:
I am struck by the pretty, flowered robe, I must say.
If you like this sort of image, I’m please to be able to tell you that Tagame has a whole site available for your perusal.

In terms of that guy with the “pretty, flowered robe, the Japanese genre classification/name is “Barazoku”–the Rose Tribe.

Now if only we could one of Tagame’s beefy guys topping one of those slender pretty yaoi boys, or- gasp!- the other way around!
Gengoroh Tagame’s drawings appeal to me a lot. I also like Jiraiya and Tsukasa Matsuzaki.
Faustus: I too think that his intended main audience are gay men; his stuff can also be a great turn-on for women, especially sadists.
Cand86: Tagame has drawn at least one story with a younger guy topping a physically stronger, more mature guy. I just can’t remember which title it is are at the moment – sorry. If you like this setup and don’t require the younger guys to be very pretty-pretty, a starting point for looking is the list of titles on his site.
