That is the most hideous background I think I’ve EVER seen on a nude shoot. It nearly breaks EVERY rule that traditional photographic training would suggest as well as just plain common sense. It’s so busy and distracting that you can barely appreciate the model, even after making a conscious effort to do so. I can’t help but wonder if the photographer (or set designer?), had been told that this would be his last shoot, and that after this his services would no longer be required (a revenge move), or that he or she was experimenting with hallucinogenics that day.
Maybe it was April Fool’s day…
Someone alert James Lileks, stat!
I discovered “Lileks” in your pages some time ago, and became a fan . Taste and time are two of a kind, I would not dress, today, the way I dressed at the opening of a Bruce lee movie in the early 70’s . I was way hairier, wearing the loudest print shirts and had stronger erections, then . Human females will always be appealing to men no matter how they wrap themselves .

Where you see a disappointing nude shoot, I see an improved Target commercial. ^_^
I know this picture. From my teens. Seventies Playboy perhaps?
My failing memory is telling me that it’s from an article called something like, “How other magazines would handle a centerfold,” and this photo is for Family Circle.
I could be wrong.
I think I went a bit cross eyed trying to concentrate on the model and not the floral print plastered on everything. It takes away from the model and instead gives the viewers a headache in straining their eyes on the floral set.
