This octopus heard that tentacle sex was a thing, and decided he’d like to try it:

An illustration from the October 17, 1896 Illustrated Police News, under the headline “Alarming Experience of Fair Bathers Who Are Attacked by an Octopus”. Alarming, indeed!

This is, I kid you not, a six-minute Buzzfeed explainer video about anal play in general and rimming (analingus, “eating ass”, “anal oral”) in particular:

This photograph is all over Pinterest and Tumblr, incorrectly identified as a 1925 photo of “Ziegfeld girl” Alice Wilkie (who wasn’t actually a Ziegfeld girl). Notoriously, posting this photo (with that spurious attribution) got comic artist Colleen Doran briefly banned from FaceBook. However, serious fans of actual Ziegfeld girls identified this as a modern photograph when it started popping up on Tumblr; they attribute it to modern Russian photographer Retroattelier, who has a 2007 set of similar-looking photos on LiveJournal. The model is “La Katerina” from Odessa, photographed “in the style of the 1920s”.
