Ever hear the phrase “Getting her tit caught in the wringer?” It’s a hundred-year-old metaphor for personal screw-up, petit clusterfuck, and entanglement. My mother used the metaphor. My mother was old enough and rural enough (and, I suspect, nudist enough) to have experienced at least the risk of the actuality.
