   I have long ago transferred my old tumblr; after several months trying different alternatives, I found one I like.    Hey, fuzzy, thanks for the linkage.

   I have heard good things about bdsmlr, but I haven’t checked it out much because, well, Bacchus’s First Rule.

   Your link looks good, but I find myself put off by the huge banner at the top that apparently never goes away, telling me that I’m not “viewing it completely” and apparently cannot do so without a login. Fundamentally I think websites are broken if any random stranger cannot view them. I wrote about this as a culture war issue seventeen years ago, and my views haven’t really changed:

   It’s not clear to me what the limits of viewing for a non-logged-in person are at bdsmlr, but just the inability to make the ugly warning banner go away is enough to make it unreadable to me, I’ve got an OCD thing about persistent banners that limit my viewing area.
