I could be wrong, but it looks to me, from the hair styling and the placement of the sockets at the back of the neck, that this is meant to be Matoko Kusanagi, from the anime “Ghost in the Shell”.
Well, hell. If you’re right, that makes this scene a whole lot darker than I suspected.
A friend whose family owns a local chain of adult toy stores posted recently that someone had dumped a box outside one of her stores containing a used Real Doll, or similar full-sized “companion”. They never sold them through her stores, but she figured it was originally in the $5k to $10k range. We were speculating whether the owner passed away, or other reasons why it was being discarded, and whether it was maybe a little too disturbing for the owner to try to dismember their “friend” to discreetly put in the garbage one part at a time. She ended up having a couple employees tape the box shut and carry it back to the store dumpster.
Yeah, she could be repaired and used over and over again.
