A Nun’s Ivory Dildo
This ivory dildo may have belonged to a nun:
No, really! According to Dr. Lindsey Fitzharris, this is an 18th-century dildo made of ivory, with a plunger to simulate ejaculation. It was found in a convent in Paris, where it was hidden in its own cloth bag for almost 100 years in the seat of a Louis XV armchair.

Well…whoever owned it must have paid a pretty penny. It’s actually quite a magnificent artisan piece. Ancient dildos are not uncommon artifacts(they are especially well represented among the relics of prehistory), but this is one of the finest examples I’ve seen.
