Rough Sex For Whores: WTF?
This story makes me shake my head:
At one point the subject turned to sex and the difference between making love and fucking, and gentle and rough sex.
Mr. Suit was quite opinionated and said he thought that only whores liked rough sex.
After noticing that I had been kind of quiet for a bit he turned to me, put his hand on my leg, and asked me what was wrong.
As I gently but firmly removed his hand, I told him “ummmm, nothing’s really wrong, I just think that you spent a lot of money tonight taking a whore out to dinner, and she’s not gonna fuck you.”
The obvious part is, dude shot himself down by being fetish-negative and judgmental about rough sex before he took the elementary precaution of finding out how his dinner companion felt about it. Stupid!
Hardly the first time, though, that a man’s arrogant assumptions cost him in lost nookie opportunities.
But in my book, he committed double-extra-stupidity by using “whore” pejoratively. It’s one of those words — like “cunt” when it’s used as an insult — the utterance of which implies a huge package of the speaker’s bad attitudes toward women in general. Definitely not a word to trot out when you’re wining-and-dining!

Without sufficient cues, or clues, or context, it’s difficult to know whether or not this “gent” is beyond redemption. I’m betting on giving the lady the benefit of the doubt here, but it occurs to me that we are all ignorant about a subject, until we are not.
I don’t mean ignorant like some people tend to use the term, meaning low I.Q., or mentally challenged, I mean unschooled, or unlearned, or uninformed, or lacking in knowledge, or lacking in sophistication, about the opposite sex in this case. It would appear, possibly lacking in certain social skills as well.
I’ve commented rather extensively several times on this blog about my concerns about people throwing around words like “whore” and “slut” (often ignorantly using one when they probably mean the other, or just being generally misogynistic), which is unattractive behavior at the very least.
His remarks were insulting, and therefore abusive. He disparaged his date, her lifestyle, and probably a good portion of her previous sex partners, and possibly her close friends as well.
In fact, personally, I imagine that if I myself were a “whore”, the very last thing I’d want was rough sex.
Rough sex in my experience, is much more likely to happen between two (or more…), people who have developed a relationship, in which trust has been established.
Unfortunately this guy is likely to remain forever clueless, especially because, as the expanded link mentioned, he was an “older guy”, and still hadn’t learned where he’d erred.
This expanded posting doesn’t say that she made an earnest effort to enlighten him, which I hope she at least tried. Chances are, he was beyond redemption as I mentioned above, but there is always hope, n’est-ce pas?
