Any Good WordPress Template Designers Out There?
ErosBlog is upgrading sometime soon to WordPress 2.0, and I’m in the market for a designer who can build me a nice custom template for a reasonable rate. I’m not looking for anything radical; really, I want something that looks and works pretty much the way ErosBlog already looks and works, only more modern and with colors and fonts and such that weren’t selected in 2002 by a color-blind design ignoramus. (Yes, that would be me.)
If you do WordPress template design, don’t mind getting paid with filthy porn money, and are available for an immediate commission, I’d like to hear from you, with a pointer to your design portfolio. Please send an email (to bacchus@erosblog.com); please do not leave links in the comments. All such will be deleted in self defense, to prevent the creation of a festering spam farm.

I can accept change, but I also like the site just fine the way it is!
Hooray for change and new template goodness!
I look forward to see the new yet old Erosblog :)
Bacchus, are you just looking for a change or do you not like this one? I think this one looks nice and compliments your postings – very lively and colorful.
You are going to LOVE wordpress.
I’ve made some contacts and it looks like one of them is coming together. Thanks, folks.
The move to WordPress is necessary; among other problems, GreyMatter doesn’t make it easy enough to control spam. I’ve used WordPress on other projects, and it’s lightyears ahead of GreyMatter on many important features.
As for the template, I’m not looking for change for change’s sake. I’m fundamentally happy with the basic structure and setup of the blog, but there are useability advantages to good design that I’d like to take advantage of. I’m hoping my designer will make it “the same, only better.” If that makes sense.
It ain’t broke, please don’t fix it. It looks very different from everyone else’s blog. I love the putti and their big ‘sister’
My day starts with them.

They’re new – but they are damn good: [deleted! And Kiki FAILS the reading comprehension test!]
spam farm! say it 5 imes fast! Oh, and how can I escape the box and start a blog?
Keep the pics at the top – I like them.
whoops.. sorry about that. Was just trying to help – I ran across them on sexblogs.org first, then came by your post second. figured it was too much of a coincidence not to leave it here. apologies :)
Kiki, it would have been a welcome suggestion … in email. I have a persistant problem with asking readers for feedback that includes links. If I ask for links in the comments, hordes of spammers descend and spam every irrelevant thing. But when I ask for feedback by email, even going so far as to emphasize the request in bold type, folks just blithely ignore my request, the way you did. I simply don’t understand this phenomenon. Is it a reading comprehension thing, as I rather meanly suggested? Do folks simply not read to the end of the post? Or do they just figure my request doesn’t apply to them, because their heart is pure?
As for the particulars of your suggestion, they look like a promising design outfit, but they have no portfolio online yet, so I figure they aren’t quite ready for prime time. Anyway, I’ve now found someone, via a reader suggestion — by email.
Understood completely, Bacchus – no hard feelings. Feeling a bit foolish for ignoring your emphasized request for links and information. To answer your question about the phenomenon, at least from my perspective? I guess, at the time, I took it to mean that designers/design firms should email you directly if they were interested in taking on your project. Since I’m not one of those – I stupidly left the link here.
At any rate.. best of luck with your design work, looking forward to your new look!
