Every Woman Loves A Ridgid Tool
As every man in the mechanical trades knows, the best pinups have always been distributed as advertising posters and calendars for display in such traditionally male territory as auto shops, hardware distributorships, and mechanical supply houses of every description. Here’s a small sample from a large collection of stunning advertising pinups by the famous George Petty, all celebrating the famous Ridgid brand of tools:

Maybe it’s just a Freudian thing, but isn’t the tang-end of the wrench’s upper jaw eerily similar to a penis, and very close to the cheesecake’s crotch? Hmmmm!
A woman in a work uniform, work gloves, and . . . ballerina shoes?!?!?! Also, the notched part between her legs looks uncomfortably like a chainsaw . . .
I love how just about every last one of them appear to be wearing ballet slippers.
I always remember to wear MY ballet slippers when fingering novelty sized tools.
It’s possible to concentrate so narrowly on the hardware fetish that you don’t even notice the ballet shoe fetish.
The faculty of engineering at the university I attend has some sort of wrench donated by Ridgid as its mascot. They call it the Tool, and no one gets to touch it until they graduate. I think it’s so funny that all these guys just wanna touch the Tool.
Crazy engineers.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think maybe that wrench design is where some one got the idea for the rabbit vibrator that got so popular? Maybe that picture inspired them.
I couldn’t help but notice that no less than two of the illustrations show a woman working a pipe vice… OUCH!
Alas, this link is in 404 heaven. Try this instead.
Thanks! According to my tracker tool I presently have more than 1,000 404/dead links on ErosBlog, not counting the multiple of that amount that go *somewhere* but not to the original resource. I update them a few at a time, as I can, but honestly I think they are going dead faster than I am fixing them. So I’ll take all the help I can get!
