They Found The Ent-Wives!
Image credit: badly needed. (The lack of image credit on this one bothers me more than usual, because it looks like the work of a contemporary art photographer, but I found it on one of those Russian sites full of stolen/uncredited “funny” images. If anybody knows a good attribution, I’ll be happy to hear it.)

Best. Sex blog entry title. Ever.
I hope your clickthrough rate on that was obscene…
I, too, loved the title. As for the photo, I’m calling photoshop. Still, pretty neat.
This looks like it comes from a series of body-paint images where the model was made to blend in with the background. I don’t know more about the project, but I do have a few of the images on my hard drive.
Yeah, Paul, “Photoshop” is not really the point on this one. Art photography these days seems to be all about image distortion and manipulation. Body paint, I’ll admit, is an explanation that hadn’t occurred to me. Old school!
Folks would do well to read the ErosBlog FAQ before (attempting to) continue the “calling Photoshop” conversation. When I post a picture, I am almost never inviting (indeed, I am inexpressibly weary of) that conversation.
Wow! How beautiful! It does look like it could be bodypaint on her for the trunk. I love it.
Yeah, as I typed it, I was telling myself, “I’m gonna get told for this.” It wasn’t clear to me from the original entry whether or not you knew, or cared if the image was real or not.
Heh, that’s just it — I have deep philosophical issues with that whole concept of “real”, which doesn’t mean the same thing to any two people. And no thread on the subject can grow very long before people abandon civil discussion and resort to emphatic expressions of baseless certitude. I don’t know why, but that’s how it goes every damn weary time.
As it happens, in this case when I posted I had no firm idea about this image; all I knew was that I had a funny title in mind that matched it.
Can’t tell you where it’s from, just that it appears to be a birch, it COULD grow that way, and the image is ALL OVER. Neat image though. Hope someone can find a credit for it.
This is truly a beautiful picture, one that only fuels my Brian Froud-inspired fantasies of magical forest orgies.
A day or so before this came out I saw the same picture on a site called Maggie’s Farm. I seem to recall that they had a source listed, but I did not go to that source.
I just Googled that, Ed; their source was “from Theo, of course” with no link. :(
